THE FIRST LINES
An idea takes shape.
Before the ornament, there is the silhouette. Studies of the shoulder, neck and balance explore how the bottle will stand, feel and hold the eye.

Four agaves. A personal commission.
The art of mezcal, expressed in every detail.

THE PAGE 52 JOURNAL · GOLD EDITION
A private commission becomes a meeting of disciplines: the making of a spirit, the patience of a printmaker, and the hand of a jeweller.

The story begins with a request for something personal. Four agaves would come together in an ensamble made for a private commission. Before the presentation could be imagined, there was the expression itself: the selection of the agave and the decisions that would follow it through the making.
GOLD Edition brings that work into conversation with other crafts. Its story moves from the cooking of the agave to a sheet of handmade paper, from the observation of fermentation to the smallest detail in gold.

FIRE & FAMILY
A specially selected wood accompanies the cooking, following a family recipe. Its identity remains private. The story can honour that tradition without revealing every part of it.
Here, discretion belongs to the making as much as it belongs to the original commission.
Time was considered
in hours.

FERMENTATION, WATER & DISTILLATION
Fermentation was followed in hours rather than described only in days. Trials and three measures informed the decision of when to proceed—a closer account of time within the process.
The same attention extended to water intended for distillation. Specialists helped develop a tailored formula for its properties, making water part of the project’s considered choices.

THE HANDS BEHIND THE PRESENTATION
The commission allowed freedom to propose a presentation worthy of the work inside it. Walnut, velvet and gold became a shared language, with the bottle at its centre and the case in a supporting role.
The paper began with the gathering of its ingredients. Thickness and the required sheets were considered before it passed to a screen printer whose technique had travelled from grandfather to father to son.
A master jeweller and specialist local artisans brought their disciplines to the final object. Each contribution belongs in the story—not simply as a material, but as work shaped by a particular hand.
PAGE 52 · THE PRIVATE COLLECTION
It began with a private client’s wish for something deeply personal: a mezcal and a presentation created as one. From the four-agave expression to the smallest detail of its case, GOLD Edition grew from that singular ambition.
THE DESIGN JOURNEY
Follow the expression from an exploratory line to a complete collector’s presentation.

THE FIRST LINES
Before the ornament, there is the silhouette. Studies of the shoulder, neck and balance explore how the bottle will stand, feel and hold the eye.

THE MATERIAL LANGUAGE
The warmth of walnut. The depth of burgundy velvet. Gold that catches the light, and diamond details that draw it closer. The bottle and its case begin to speak the same language.

THE FINER DETAILS
A polished edge. The rhythm of the settings. A glint held against deep shadow. The design invites a closer look at the meeting of gold, stone and glass.

THE COMPLETE PRESENTATION
The spirit, the bottle and the work of its makers meet in one presentation. Crystal glasses, a collector’s medal and a founder’s note complete a story conceived to be held, opened and discovered.
